Drive Wise installs the hardware, runs operations, and sends your share of the revenue every month. Here is exactly how the entire process works, from site selection through to your bank account.
The Complete Process
Every Drive Wise charger follows the same five-stage lifecycle. Drive Wise manages stages 1, 2, 4, and 5 entirely. Your one action is stage 3: buying shares.
Drive Wise identifies and secures high-traffic commercial locations based on EV demand data, grid access, and traffic volume analysis.
Drive Wise handles thisHardware is delivered, installed, and connected to the grid. Software is configured, payment systems activated, and the charger goes live.
Drive Wise handles thisSelect your charger location and buy between 1 and 20 shares at $3,000 each. This is the only action required from you in the entire process.
Your one actionEV drivers pay per kWh every day. Standard and surge rates generate continuous gross revenue around the clock across all active sessions.
AutomaticDrive Wise deducts 20% and distributes 80% net revenue to share holders monthly, with a full earnings report per charger location.
Paid to youStep by Step
Before a single charger is ordered, Drive Wise conducts a full site assessment. Our team analyzes daily vehicle counts, existing EV charging demand, proximity to highways and commercial anchors, grid connection feasibility, and property lease terms. Only locations that meet our traffic thresholds are approved.
This ensures that every charger in the Drive Wise network is placed where drivers actually need it, maximizing session volume and earnings for share holders from day one of operation.
Once a site is approved, Drive Wise coordinates the complete hardware installation: grid connection, conduit and electrical work, the charger unit, networking equipment, and payment terminal configuration. Each charger runs on Drive Wise network software monitoring uptime, session data, and payment processing in real time.
When a unit goes live it is immediately active. The first session generates the first revenue. Share holders do not need to be present, involved, or informed before going live. The charger simply starts earning.
Once shares in a charger become available, you select the location and the number of shares you wish to hold. Each $60,000 DC Fast Charger unit is divided into 20 equal shares at $3,000 per share. You may purchase any number between 1 and 20.
You may also hold shares across multiple charger units simultaneously. Your total monthly payout is the combined net revenue from every charger you hold shares in. Holding shares across different locations gives you broader participation across the Drive Wise network.
EV drivers arrive at the charger, plug in, and pay per kWh. Drive Wise chargers operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week without any involvement from share holders. Sessions generate revenue at either the standard rate or surge rate depending on the time of day.
Standard rate sessions at $0.50 per kWh form the consistent daily base. Surge sessions at $0.60 per kWh occur during peak demand windows and increase total daily earnings above the standard baseline. Both rates accumulate across every session every day of the month.
At the end of each calendar month, Drive Wise calculates the total gross revenue for every charger. A 20% maintenance and management fee is deducted, and the remaining 80% is distributed to share holders in direct proportion to their shares held. A holder of 1 of 20 shares receives 1/20th of the 80% net. A holder of 10 shares receives 10/20ths.
Every payout includes a full monthly earnings report showing daily session data, kWh totals, gross revenue, the 20% Drive Wise fee, and the final net payout amount. Payment is transferred directly to your registered account at the same time the report is issued.
Pricing Structure
Every session is billed at either the standard rate or the surge rate, depending on the time of day. Both rates are fixed and clearly posted at every Drive Wise charger location.
The standard rate applies during all hours outside the defined surge windows. It generates the majority of daily revenue across every Drive Wise charger and forms the consistent revenue base for every share holder each month.
Standard sessions include all overnight charging, late evening drivers, and midday off-peak windows outside the three daily surge periods.
The surge rate applies during peak EV charging demand windows when driver traffic at high-traffic locations is at its highest. Surge sessions earn an additional $0.10 per kWh above the standard rate, increasing total monthly revenue for every share holder.
Revenue Flow
Every dollar spent at a Drive Wise charger follows a clear, documented path before it reaches your account. Here is exactly how that flow works across five steps.
An EV driver initiates a session by tapping, swiping, or using the mobile app at the payment terminal. Billing begins immediately at the applicable per-kWh rate for that time of day.
The charger delivers DC fast power to the vehicle. A certified meter tracks the exact kilowatt hours transferred and calculates the session total at $0.50 standard or $0.60 surge per kWh in real time.
When the session ends the driver's payment method is charged the full session amount. The transaction is logged to that charger's monthly revenue ledger and added to the running gross total for the billing month.
At the end of each calendar month, Drive Wise totals the gross revenue for every charger from all sessions across both standard and surge rates for every day of the month for that unit.
Drive Wise deducts the 20% maintenance and management fee from the gross monthly total. The remaining 80% is distributed to all share holders of that charger proportionally. Payments transfer directly with a full earnings report attached.
Full Transparency
Drive Wise does not send a single number and call it a payout. Every share holder receives a complete monthly earnings report for each charger they hold shares in, with every figure itemized so you can verify the numbers independently.
The report covers daily session counts, total standard and surge kWh, standard revenue, surge revenue, gross total, the Drive Wise fee, and the net payout amount broken down per share held.
FAQ
No. Once your share purchase is confirmed and activated, Drive Wise manages everything. Installation, operations, maintenance, payment processing, and monthly payouts all happen automatically. Your only role is to hold your shares and receive your monthly income and report.
Yes. You may hold shares across as many different Drive Wise charger locations as you choose. Each charger generates its own monthly revenue and payout independently. Your total monthly payout is the combined net from all chargers you hold shares in.
The 20% maintenance and management fee covers all costs of keeping every charger operational: hardware maintenance and repairs, software and network connectivity, payment processing, site lease payments, insurance, 24-hour monitoring, and the costs of identifying and activating new charger locations across the network.
Payouts are issued at the end of each calendar month. Your earnings report for the preceding month is generated and the payment is processed at the same time. If your shares were activated mid-month, your first payout is prorated from your activation date to the end of that first month.
All Drive Wise chargers are monitored in real time. When a unit goes offline the operations team is alerted immediately and works to restore the unit as quickly as possible. Planned maintenance downtime is communicated to share holders in advance. Any downtime is factored accurately into that charger's monthly revenue figure and shown in your report.
